A Tragedy
They stood tall and brave,
Like brother and sister,
Until they were destroyed,
The pain’s like a bleeding blister.
On September eleventh,
Two planes were hijacked,
No one knew that this day,
Would have such an impact.
When the first plane crashed,
Into the World Trade Center,
No one could stop this nightmare,
Not even the most brilliant inventor
They stood tall and brave,
Like brother and sister,
Until they were destroyed,
The pain’s like a bleeding blister.
Followed by the first,
Another plane crashes,
And one day later,
All that’s left is ashes.
We sift through the remains,
Searching for hope,
But the image is scrambled,
Like looking through a kaleidoscope.
We mourn the victims,
We comfort those who have lost,
Now our nation is a frozen one,
One which we must defrost.
They stood tall and brave,
Like brother and sister,
Until they were destroyed,
The pain’s like a bleeding blister.
