Always Remember

In one more year I get my braces off

for the whole world to see,

But what’s the point of smiling when you

won’t be here with me.

Why do you have to go so very

far away from here,

and leave me lonesome drowning

in my tears.

I’ll try my best not to contemplate

`cause I’ll only remember how I ended

up desolate and bereaved.
