Bimbo
You know you’re plain when people say
What lovely eyes you have
I love your hair
Make bad jokes, pretend they’re funny
Make myself laugh
All this work on my hair,
My body and…
My eyes
The sign of a plain girl
Boys that are friends but never my lovers
Boys that are there at night but never in the morning
Boys that make cracks at me
And I pretend not to care
‘Because she’ll laugh it off’
Maybe
Maybe I’ll cry instead
I just don’t find it funny anymore
