Even The Dove Cries

She sits in terrace as I passby, covers her face
crying appears with black and blue around eyes
sadness and angry as she cries.

Some days, noises like cat and mouse
or cats and dogs heard from my neighbor house
epithets are heart breaking to hear
loud voices worth plugging your ears

I remember Robert and Tina Reader’s wedding day
last three years ago, ’twas gala and lavished.
Tina in her wedding dress, pretty like Goddess.
Two doves (symbol of love and peace)
let flew after ceremonial kiss
returned to couple shoulders, guest applauded.
A gracious wedding ceremony I ever witnessed.

Now Robert is not mister gentleman anymore
alcoholism changed his personality and behavior
The couple are in quandary,
there are days were crazy.

Pet doves got restless to the event now they see
teardrops from their little eyes appears
coo-coo as they mumbled…flew away…
never saw them back since then-
love and peace are imperil, they sensed.
