Megan’s Poem

My little sister
that I never knew
Lost when life was
just beginning
Oh how I wish that
I could have met you

I hope and pray that
you are safe in Heaven
I miss you oh so much
my sweet baby sister
You will always be
our little angel

Why did you have to go
Why weren’t we allowed
to keep you
Why did God only allow you
one short breath

It really hurts us
when your birthday rolls around
We all miss you so much
Our only wish was to hold
and take care of you

Why did you have to go
Why weren’t we allowed
to hold you
Why did God only allow you
one short breath

You will always be
my little sister
No one can take you out
of my heart
I miss you sweet little Megan

It’s been 16 years
and I still miss you so
It will bring great joy to
all of us when we meet
you in Heaven
Until then please help protect
us all sweet little birthday girl

Why did you have to go
Why weren’t we allowed
to keep…hold you
Why did God only allow you
one short breath

Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem, my niece’s birthday is today 9/10. She was born and died on the same day in 1993 an 8 lb newborn that died because the doctor didn’t perform a C-section on time while she was in distress in utero, sad…

Today, we are celebrating her 16th birthday in heaven and it feels like it was yesterday that this nightmare happened……I sent the poem to my sister because I know that she is going to appreciate the poem as much as I did……

    Thank you very much
