The beautiful Goddess Mother Nature her presence around me everywhere
The only God of which one can be certain and with her there is none to compare
Though last night she seemed rather angry I heard her howling in the trees
This morning again she seemed pleasant she whispered in a gentle breeze,

It is broad minded

The beautiful Goddess of Nature though her I am never to see
I can only hope to imagine how lovely indeed she must be
The beauty that she has created is everywhere all around me
I hear her birds sing in the parkland on bush and on shrub and on tree.

You mostly will find them where there is decay
In wood piles or cracks in timber well hidden away
From predators and from the bright lamp of day
One of a group of Nature’s composters and ‘twould be fair to say
That in the workings of Nature they do play a role
They are the tiny gleaners of Mother Earth’s [...]

They had lived here for sixty thousand years or maybe more
Before the first white sailors moored their boats and came ashore
Illegal migrants without passports to show
Two centuries and two decades ago.
From these volcanic cliffs they looked out on the sea
