Sweet Sacrifice

Sweet Sacrifice
Death
Life sweet sacrifice
Would you be willing
Willing to die
To save a life
To stop a war
To save the world
Or will you curl up into a ball
Your safe little place
Away from the world
Ignoring reality
Waiting for someone
Someone else
To fix the problem
So you don’t have to
Have someone else do it
Have them die
But that someone is also a person
With family and friends
A job
A home
A life
A life like yours
Life your neighbors
Like the new family down the street
With the three kids and two dogs
Always smiling an laughing
What if you took away their dad
The glue to their puzzle
The puzzle of life
Death
Life
Sweet sacrifice
