The Invite
Mum responded with a note
Apparently she wanted to make contact before but the police said don’t.
Even before and after the police case there was no attempt
Not a single message was sent.
She wants me to write things down for her to read before we meet
But only because she doesn’t want to have to think of her feet.
She is still trying to stipulate the rules
Trying to get me to be the one to back down and crawl.
So if she doesn’t like what she see’s
Does that mean to the meeting she will not agree?
I told her how things had to be
She should be the one bending over backwards to make things up to me.
She told my brother she has no need to be sorry
I think we are going round in circles and that was my biggest worry.
She has given me a wedding invite
That somehow this will dropp this fight.
Is she playing another game?
To try and avoid herself of the shame.
If to the wedding I don’t attend
People will ask questions, how will she defend?
I will be made out to be the bad guy
If I don’t attend the wedding as people won’t know why.
I’m not sure what to do now
I want answers, but not sure how.
Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea
All I have done is unearthed more fear.
It seems to me she don’t really want to know
She had let her true feelings show.
All I want is a Mum to treat me right
I’m sick and tired of this constant fight.
It looks like I will have to cut the strings
What will the future without my Mum bring?
